Professionally guided Canadian black bear hunting in Cape Breton Island!

Cape Breton Island has some of the best black bear hunting in North America, and Cape Breton Highlands National Park is renowned to have some of the largest black bears in the world, deep in the mountains where trophy bears and moose are plentiful.  Our guides have more then 20 years experience hunting the park boundaries and offer you the greatest opportunity to harvest a trophy bear.

Our season starts on the second Monday of September and weekly hunts are available until the first week of December.  Bear hunters are provided with active bear sites, all monitored by trail cameras so we can put the hunter at the best bait sites.  We hunt only 30% of our baited sites each year, only the ones with the best action!

You'll have your choice of a 16 foot high ladder stand or sheltered ground blinds that are strategically placed on high ground for those who prefer to stay on the ground.  All sites are pre-baited for over a month before hunters arrive, unhunted previous to your arrival, and available for either bow or rifle hunters with most shots at approximately 15 yards.

• Bears are mostly active from late afternoon to early evening, guides will have a variety of activities planned for your mornings at no extra cost, such as ATV moose scouting trips, fishing trips (deep sea, lakes and rivers), and Zodiac whale watching trips from our lodges wharf.

• On combo hunts: deer $133.93 (Canadian funds), Moose companion $24.35 (Canadian funds)
